Land of fire and ice

When I turned 30, I had a great need for novelty and adventure. Going to an unknown country in the North then became an obvious way to recharge my batteries. It was by chance re-listening to the music group "Of Monsters and Men" that I started to learn about Iceland and from that moment, I got used to the idea that going there- down for a few days would do me the greatest good. So I decided to buy my fine travel guide during the fall of 2017 and started planning... without realizing that my trip won't be for now and that I will have to wait another year before set foot in Iceland. In fact, when I lost my job two weeks later due to a company restructuring, I had to postpone my travel plan. So my guide ended up sadly among the other books in my library and I decided to forget about it.

Almost a year later and after finding a stable job, the desire to go traveling was still very present. One Monday morning in September 2018 suddenly came to my mind that I have a travel guide to Iceland and all day I only thought about that. When I got home from work, I decided on a whim to go to Iceland for a few days that same week. Leave from work, tickets purchased with WOW air and tour in the Golden Circle planned (all this in just 2 days :D), here I am ready for my last minute getaway.
