Inukshuk is a type of artificial stone marker used by the Inuit and other peoples of the Arctic region of North America. These structures are found in northern Canada, Greenland and Alaska (United States).
It is often used for navigation, as a landmark, marker of travel routes, fishing grounds, camps, hunting grounds, places of worship, drift fences used for hunting or to mark a cache of food.
